Penile Filler Results and Realistic Expectations

These are Hardrock Clinic’s own figures from its caseload. They are not trial results, they have not been independently verified, and they sit above the published means shown in the section above. Differences in measurement method, timing and volume can all contribute to that gap, which is why the two sets of figures are shown separately rather than blended.

The gel is delivered in small amounts through several entry points, then moulded and checked for symmetry at the end of the procedure. A well-distributed gel is intended to feel soft and look natural, blending with the shaft rather than sitting as a visible ridge.

That is the intention, not a guarantee. Published series report irregularities that patients can see or feel:

• In the 324-man audit, asymmetry occurred in 6.1%, lumps in 4.6% and migration of gel towards the foreskin in 7.7%. All were managed, with hyaluronidase, additional filler or oral antibiotics.
• In a 155-man series (conference abstract; the authors declare an industry relationship with the filler maker), 12.3% needed cosmetic correction.
• Separately, 1.2% of men in the audit disliked the result and asked for it to be dissolved.

Because hyaluronic acid can usually be dissolved with hyaluronidase, irregularities are often correctable, although more than one session is sometimes needed. Correction is priced case by case according to clinic policy and physician assessment. Individual results vary, and the reasons are mostly anatomical. Shaft length and starting girth determine how thinly a given volume is spread; tissue laxity affects how much gel the dartos layer can hold evenly; foreskin anatomy affects the risk of migration and swelling. How the body breaks down the gel also differs from person to person.

This is why the physician confirms the volume at an in-person assessment, measures baseline circumference first, and may revise the volume down.
