Our standards

Who is responsible: Fill in Istanbul is the penile filler programme and website of Hardrock Clinic in Istanbul, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zulfu Sertkaya. The clinic publishes this site; the guides are written for patients by the clinic.
Medical review: Clinical guides are reviewed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zulfu Sertkaya, the operating physician. Each guide shows the date of its last medical review. Where a guide has been published or updated and is awaiting that review, it says “Physician review pending” rather than showing a date.
Dates: Each guide shows when it was first published on this domain and when its content last changed. Dates are set by hand when content changes; they are not refreshed automatically.
Sources: Figures from published research are attributed in the text and listed at the foot of the page with a DOI or PubMed link. We prefer randomised trials, systematic reviews and professional guidelines, and identify conference abstracts and industry-disclosed studies as such.
Clinic figures: Figures from the clinic’s own caseload — such as reported girth change per volume, procedure counts and patient origins — are labelled as clinic-reported. They are not independently verified and are not presented as trial results.
What we do not publish: Guaranteed results, claims of permanence for a resorbable filler, invented statistics, fabricated reviews or ratings, and patient before-and-after photographs.
Testimonials: Patient statements on the homepage are shown as statements, not as evidence of results, and are not marked up as reviews.
Commercial interest: This is a clinic website and the clinic offers the treatment described. Guides still set out the limits of the treatment and the alternatives to it.
Corrections: If you believe something on this site is inaccurate, tell the coordination team through the contact page or on WhatsApp. Corrections are made promptly and the updated date is changed.
