Reviews of filler rheology describe firmer, more cohesive gels as the type generally chosen for deep volume support, while softer gels are used for fine lines. Ultra Deep is a product intended for deep volume in the face, and the clinic chooses it for that reason: the aim in penile treatment is volume around the shaft rather than smoothing of the skin surface.
This is an inference from general filler science, not a result from penile trials. There is no published penile-specific study of Teosyal Ultra Deep, so claims about how this product in particular performs in the penis cannot be made from the evidence.
The gel is placed in the dartos layer, outside Buck fascia, and the erectile bodies and urethra are not entered. It can usually be dissolved with hyaluronidase if there is a lump, asymmetry or an unwanted result, which is one of the main practical differences from permanent materials. Teoxane publishes an estimated lifetime for Ultra Deep, but the figure is not the same on every official page. The Saudi product information page gives 15–18 months; the Australian page gives 12–18 months. Both figures refer to use in the face.
They should not be read as a prediction for penile treatment. The penis is a mobile area with different tissue and different mechanical stresses, and duration also depends on volume, placement and individual metabolism.
